Irina, a mezzo-soprano and professional conductor, is currently pursuing research studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she focuses on exploring the intersection of folk and modern music traditions from various countries. Her academic work reflects her passion for bridging diverse musical cultures and bringing lesser-known repertoire to the forefront.
Irina has an extensive performance background as a vocal ensemble member and has worked on opera roles by Händel, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart. She has been selected to participate in the Academy for the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble in March 2025.
In addition to her solo career, Irina is a constant member of the Zurich Vocal Soloists ensemble, performing regularly at the Fraumünster Church. She is also one of the founders of the vocal ensemble Serendipia, based in Germany. She regularly performs in various capacities across Norway, Switzerland, and Germany.
Irina has honed her skills through masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Joyce DiDonato, Jeanette Favaro-Reutter, Kenneth Posey, and others. She was also part of the International Bach Academy for young singers.
Beyond her singing career, Irina leverages her expertise in conducting and piano to lead choral groups and teach piano. She is dedicated to enhancing her teaching skills by understanding and supporting her students' goals and desires.
